Wine is my great passion! I am a born-and-bred Moselle child born in the beautiful wine village Lieser. I was raised with wine as my father – who was the Managing Director of the resident winegrowers’ association at that time – laid the cornerstone for my passionate interest in wine.
After a commercial training in the wine sector, a vocational diploma in economics, various jobs in Australia, Italy and Luxembourg and a part-time successfully completed degree course to become an officially recognized Bachelor of Business Administration for Tourism, I had been working for the Deutsche Lufthansa in the flying service for more than 36 years now.
Next to German I speak English, French, Italian and Spanish. I had been working in a responsible leading position for more than 18 years. All of my trips and journeys led me to all five continents of the world, but always back to the wonderful river Moselle and to my real passion … the wine! What would have been more obvious than making a well-grounded training in this sector?

In the meantime I have become a sommelière certified by the Chamber of Commerce and graduated with the international degree “WSET Level 3” of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in London. Moreover I made a further education to become a “Fachsommelier/Weinkulturexperte Champagne” (expert sommelier/wine-culture expert) and a “Weinkulturexperte VDP. Die Prädikatsweingüter” at the “Wein- und Sommelierschule” in Koblenz, both certified by the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, I successfully completed a training to become a nature-experience escort at the DLR Mosel in Bernkastel-Kues.
